Book Review: The Ruins

The Ruins by Scott Smith

A tourist group of American's visiting Mexico stumble upon an ancient ruin site covered in strange vines. At first curious to explore however they are not allowed to leave. Driven further into the hill, they struggle to survive agaisnt the myserious plant.

Discovering more about the vines provides tension, as the feeling of being trapped but trying to overcome. The group is mostly forgettable characters however the setting and tone of the book are intriguing to read.
