Book Review: Silence of The Lambs

the Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris

A sequel to the book Red Dragon and part of a series featuring the character Hannibal Lecter. The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris is a psychological thriller horror. The book features Clarice Starling placed on a case to catch Buffalo Bill before the serial killer can strike again. To do this she must seek information only Hannibal, who is incarcerated for his many vile crimes, is believed to have insight on the true identity of Buffalo Bill He feeds her clues she must solve. The book is slow and at times drags into more crime procedures. But the characters are indeed memorable. However this is one of the few books I will say the movie is better. The book sets the stage for an interesting story, and no doubt the framework was vital for the success of the movies.
