Carrie by Stephen King

The King of horror Stephen King wrote Carrie in 1974. The title character is an awkward girl teased and bullied at school and at home, her mother is fiercely religious. However maybe things will change when Carrie is invited to prom by Tommy. Well, they don't get better. The book is told by those who witnessed the events of the prom, and the power Carrie unleashed upon the unsuspecting high school. The tone presents a believable setting and era and an unforgettable character of Carrie.
